Columbus cybersecurity startup Aware officially moved into its Brewery District HQ at the start of 2023, taking over the historic Hoster Brewing Co. Ice House at 455 S. Ludlow Alley.

"Aware’s office space reflects our mindset of human innovation: marrying historic architecture of the late 1800s Brewery District with modern finishes and flexible spaces built for the new world of work Aware is solving for today," the company said in an emailed statement.

Features of the new office include an entryway moss wall, a kitchen complete with coffee bar, library space and a secret speakeasy area. There's also a rooftop patio, which the company says will serve as a great spot for employees to enjoy Red, White & Boom come summer.

Check out the slideshow for a look inside the space, which Aware spent more than $1 million renovating. Remember, you'll have your chance to vote for the coolest of our participants later this month.

About Aware: Aware, the winner of last year's Inno Madness competition, offers technology that helps employers manage regulatory compliance and cybersecurity while analyzing employee engagement through collaboration platforms such as Slack and Facebook Workplace. The company raised $60 million in a late 2021 round led by Goldman Sachs and leaders have said they're aiming for an IPO or acquisition in the next few years. Like other venture-backed companies, the startup cut some jobs early in the year, but it simultaneously was making "key hires" to accelerate future growth.

About the contest: Throughout the month of March, Columbus Inno will run slideshows of local offices, in the hunt for the region's coolest. At the end of the month, we'll hold a vote to determine our winner.
