These 22 Boston Startups Raised More Than $372M in June

June brought the heat on the funding scene in the Boston startup ecosystem with five startups raising over $231 million. Last month’s blockbuster deal was led by ezCater which raised $100 million — ezCater is a marketplace for corporate catering.

Other large rounds included TraceLink, the life science supply chain company, which raised $60 million, security software maker BitSight’s $60 million, Emulate, the animal-testing alternative maker’s $36 million and data operation company Devo’s $25 million.

VC firms were on a fundraising spree too — early-stage fund Romulus Capital raised $83M for its third funding round. Matrix Partners raised $450 million for its 11th U.S. venture capital fund. Matrix has offices in Cambridge, Mass., the San Francisco Bay Area, India and China.

Below are the 22 startups that raised capital in June.

• 10% Happier, an app offering a series of meditation courses, raised $3.7 million in new funding.

• Lendbuzz, which provides car loans to expats with no credit scores, raised $4.2 million in an equity offering, according to a new Form D.

• Newton-based healthcare startup ConnectRN that operates an online platform for hospitals and healthcare institutions to communicate with nurses has raised $11.5 million in funding from undisclosed investors.

• Mayflower Venues, billed as “Airbnb for wedding venues”, an MIT startup, closed an angel round worth $450K. The round was led by Tamarisc, an early stage VC firm.

• Devo, a data operations company formerly known as Logtrust, announced a $25 million  Series C funding round led by Insight Venture Partners with participation from Kibo Ventures.

• North Reading, Mass.-based TraceLink raised $60 million  in an equity round, according to a new Form D. The company is developing a network that connects the life sciences supply chain.

• Cambridge, Mass.-based Concentric, Inc. raised $436K, according to a Form D notification. Concentric makes software that helps companies craft their go-to-market strategy with features like industry forecasts, etc.

• Data science startup Elucidata Corporation, which develops software for drug discovery, raised $1.7 million in seed funding.

• ezCater, the marketplace for corporate catering raised $100 million in Series D funding round was led by Wellington Management Company LLP.

• Mightier, a startup that develops games to improve kids’ behavioral health, raised $2.4 million in a seed funding round led by Slow Ventures.

• CallMiner, which has its executive offices in Waltham, Mass., raised $3 million in an equity round, according to a Form D notification.

• Uptycs, a two-year-old cybersecurity startup based in Waltham, Mass., raised $10 million in a Series A funding round led by ForgePoint Capital and Comcast Ventures

• Lumint Corp, a currency management startup, raised $4 million.

• Emulate, a startup that provides alternatives to animal-testing, raised $36 million  in VC funding led by Peter Thiel’s Founders Fund.

• CyPhy Works raised over $4.5 million in a debt offering, according to the Form D filed with the Securities and Exchange Commission.

• Home renovation startup Renoviso raised an additional $7 million  in funding led by Corigin Ventures.

• Openbay, a Cambridge-based online marketplace for automotive repair and services, announced today it closed an $8 million Series A round of financing.

• CyberSaint raised $3 million  in a growth round of financing co-led by Audeo Capital and founding investor BlueIO.

• Silverfort, an agentless multi-factor authentication provider, announced a $11.5 million Series A round.

• StripSupply, a Boston-based reseller of diabetic test strips, closed an undisclosed seed round. The funding was led by LaunchByte Ventures.

• Security software maker BitSight raised $60 million in a Series D round led by Warburg Pincus.

• Veridium, a startup that wants to replace passwords with biometrics, announced on Friday that it has closed a Series B funding round worth $16.5 million.
