Health tech
Boston-based AI health insurance company Cohere Health raised a new round of $50 million in equity financing.
Elemind in Cambridge emerged from stealth with a $12 million seed round for its wearable brainwave stimulation device.
Milford medical device company Reprieve Cardiovascular closed a $42 million Series A round, led by Lightstone Ventures and Sante Ventures.
Maternal mental health startup FamilyWell Health raised $4.3 million in seed financing, led by .406 Ventures. It was the company’s first institutional funding.
Biotech
Cambridge oncology firm Next Point Therapeutics raised $42.5 million in a Series B financing extension, bringing its total Series B round to $122.5 million.
Frontier Medicines Corp brought in $80 million in its Series C round, which it said will bring several of its clinical pipeline initiatives into clinical studies.
Consumer tech
Robot manicure machine-maker 10Beauty raised $17 million in a Series A extension, bringing the round’s total to $38 million in equity.
Clean tech
“Unicorn” startup Ascend Elements raised an additional $162 million in a Series D round. Its total valuation is now well over $1.5 billion, according to the company.
Funds
ORI Capital, a firm with offices in Hong Kong and Natick, announced a $260 million second fund for the life sciences.
