Boston VC firm .406 Ventures, led by managing partners Maria Cirino and Liam Donohue, has filed a Form D to raise an $80 million "2016 Opportunities Fund."
Last July, the tech-focused VC firm closed a $217 million third fund.
According to the Form D, this is a part of an "Opportunities Fund, L.P."--likely a special-purpose fund to go alongside the main Fund III. I've reached out to Cirino and Donohue for details.
We will hear more about .406 and their plans for the future during BostInno's 4th State of Innovation conference on June 7 when Maria Cirino joins our VC panel: When Founders Turn Investors.
