FundingFest: These Boston Startups Raised Millions This Week

Somerville tech company Recorded Future spent Tuesday explaining away accusations that it was scanning private Facebook chat activity. Two days later, the company got to talk about much better news: Recorded Future announced $12 million in Series D funding, for expanding its cyber threat intelligence service.

The deal was among a number of notable fundings in the Boston tech scene this week. Others included a $600,000 round for ad tech startup haystagg, which included celebrity "Sharks" Mark Cuban and Barbara Corcoran among the investors; a $3.1 million Series A for Bedrock Data, a HubSpot Mafia startup aiming to offer a better way to keep cloud data in sync across applications; and $13.4 million to close out the latest round for Rethink Robotics, maker of a growing family of human-like helper robots.
