Morning LinkFest: Insightsquared Raises $13.5M, CVS Innovation Lab, Yahoo-AOL Merger Moves Closer



A few notable tech links for you this morning.

Cambridge's InsightSquared has raised $13.5 million in Series C funding. The company, maker of a fast-growing Salesforce analytics app, has now raised $27 million since its founding in 2010.

CVS Health is opening a new innovation-focused lab in Boston in the next few months. Scott Kirsner first reported the news, and said that 100 people could ultimately work out of the center.

A merger between Yahoo and AOL may be moving closer after moves by an activist investor. Starboard Value LP bought 2.4 percent of AOL's shares recently; the activist firm also owns stock in Yahoo.

A well-regarded local Web consulting firm could soon debut a product of its own for the first time. Watertown's Fresh Tilled Soil is working on a "platform for product managers to be successful," based on what the firm has learned in its nearly decade in business, co-founder and CEO Richard Banfield said.
