TRAACKR Raises $1 Million in Series A & Moves to San Fran

Former Cambridge-based online influence discovery platform, TRAACKR, Inc. just announced a Series A round of funding valued at $1 Million led by Launch Capital and Tollman Capital Partners along with a prominent group of entrepreneurs and Super Angels.  AngelList, an online community devoted to connecting startups and investors, played a role in helping to close the round.

"Though our ability to build a business, a product and a client base on revenue is remarkable and speaks to the level of skill and resilience of our team…our market is hot and our time is now. Huge market opportunities are unfolding so finding investment partners to accelerate our growth is imperative to us.” says Pierre-Loďc Assayag, TRAACKR, founder and CEO

TRAACKR plans to use the funding to build out its position in the influencer discovery space and expand into different verticals outside of marketing and communications.  The company will relocate to San Francisco from Cambridge.

Tom Egan of Launch Capital, shared his thoughts about TRAACKR and how it fits into social media evolution.

Social media has broken down many of the barriers that have traditionally surrounded thought leaders. Blogs have given a voice to experts on even the most obscure topics and Twitter has drastically reduced the communication barrier. TRAACKR is breaking down another barrier - finding those experts. We are very excited to work closely with them going forward.”

TRAACKR’s ability to find and rank various influencers who are leading online conversations across a bevy of topics will prove more and more useful to advertisers, recruiters, and many more.  Look for the company to build out its analytics platform and add personnel to bring TRAACKR to the next level.
