Beta.MN announces its spring 2022 cohort of 15 companies

Beta.MN has announced the participating companies for its spring 2022 accelerator program.

The program will run for five months and will host 15 companies. Business models for the participants range from ordering food at concession stands to training police officers on defensive tactics.

So far, 206 companies have passed through the Minneapolis-based accelerator program. Those alumni have raised over $600 million and employ over 2,000 people.

  • FerskTech uses software to manage corporate travel programs. The Rogers-based company is optimizing analytics used in supplier selection and negotiating contracts.
  • Jiu Jitsu Five-O provides safe control and defense training to police officers and first responders. The Stillwater-based company uses training tools such as an app and on-demand video.
  • Lagoon Sleep sells bed pillows and gives customers up to 30 days to try up to three pillows. The brand even uses an online sleep quiz to pair people with the right pillow.
  • Lumberjack Technologies is a Minneapolis-based company that pairs homeowners with service providers in the lawn care and snow removal space.
  • MemberBased uses membership organizations to increase diversity in hiring. The Minneapolis-based company has previously won three business plan competitions totaling $20,000 in awards.
  • Packed House Live helps creators monetize their online streams.
  • Pathway Forward helps youth with support, tools and resources. The Minneapolis-based organization's mission is to prepare youth for the future workforce by helping them graduate high school, college or trade school.
  • Sab Co. Software uses artificial intelligence to automate the employee benefits space.
  • ShotCaller is a social gaming platform that allows fans to make predictions and win rewards from local sponsors. The games are free to play and no money is exchanged.
  • Shuk is a single-family home rental marketplace that gives landlords an opportunity to market their properties. Meanwhile, tenants can rate the quality of the providers.
  • SitEat is a mobile ordering platform tackling in-venue concession stands, food courts and food trucks. Guests use the program to skip long lines by ordering their food in advance.
  • Sown Emancipation creates educational programming revolving to promote the educational outcomes of Black students and families.
  • The V Box is a quarterly subscription box containing products that promote women's sexual wellness.
  • Trunkdrop is an on-demand contactless delivery app.
  • Vizworld AI uses machine learning to track and detect objects in real time. The technology could be applied to numerous industries including sports, health care and manufacturing.
