Wisconsin Inno’s Tech Madness Semi Finals: Vote Startups on to the Finals

We’re now down to just four teams remaining in Wisconsin Inno’s Tech Madness challenge as a handful of local upstarts battle it out for a spot in the Finals. (Scroll down to cast your vote.)

Fetch Rewards continued to advance as the lone No. 1 seed left in the tournament, beating genetics-based diet startup GenoPalate by 14 votes. It now faces education tech company Fiveable, which beat EnsoData by just three votes.

Curate Solutions, a civic organizational platform, has acquired the most votes of any startup in the competition. And in the last round, it beat Ionic in a landslide. Curate Solutions now faces GrocerKey, a B2B startup for the grocery industry.

Here’s a closer look at the remaining four startups:

Fetch Rewards: Founded in 2013, the Madison-based startup created a mobile shopping platform that gives users rewards when buying groceries. Fetch Rewards raised $25 million last year from investors such as Greycroft and eVentures.

Fiveable: Founded in 2018, Fiveable provides live-streamed discussion, on-demand video lectures, study guides and academic support for 15 AP courses. To encourage student accessibility, the company uses a “freemium” monetization model, starting with a $5 per month subscription option. In January, Fiveable raised more than $673,658—entirely from Wisconsin-based investors—including $615,000 in a seed funding round led by Northwestern Mutual’s Cream City Venture Capital.

Curate Solutions: Founded in 2016, the Madison-based startup has built a platform for civic organizations to monitor risk and find opportunities in local government discussions. Launched by Dale and Taralinda Willis, the company has raised $2.2 million to date, according to Crunchbase.

GrocerKey: Founded by Jeremy Neren in 2014, GrocerKey gives retailers all the digital tools needed—on both the front and back end—to offer an e-commerce business that compliments a store’s brick-and-mortar operations. GrocerKey provides branded online stores and mobile apps to grocery chains, allowing customers to place online orders from their phone or computer and get items sent to their door.

Semi Finals voting continues now through March 26. The Finals will be announced the following day. Cast your vote below.
