Dallas-based IT services provider General Datatech has appointed Shawn O'Grady to CEO, the company announced on Thursday.
Prior to O'Grady's appointment, Dan Mosley, the company's chief revenue officer, served as interim CEO. Mosley will now reassume his role of CRO.
"Shawn intimately understands the technology space," Aaron Tolson, managing partner for H.I.G. Capital, said in the release. "We are confident that with his stewardship, GDT is poised to build on our position as a high-performance, growth-oriented IT solutions provider."
O'Grady brings over 35 years of IT experience to GDT. Prior to joining the company, he served as an operating partner in private equity, where he advised on investment strategy and execution.
"The market needs more help than ever to navigate the evolving technology landscape," O'Grady said in the release. "I'm excited to work with our customers, partners and a world-class team to lead GDT into the next chapter."
Founded in 1996, GDT helps design, build and manage IT services and solutions for medium to large organizations across various industries.
In Jan. 2022, GDT entered an investment partnership with Miami-based global private equity firm H.I.G Capital. That same month, GDT's previous CEO, Tom Ducatelli, spoke with the Dallas Business Journal about the outside investment.
