On the brink of the new year, proptech pioneer Aquicore made the move into a dazzling new headquarters in downtown D.C.

With this move, the commercial real estate software company nearly triples the size of its former corporate HQ to further grow the company, retain talent and host community events. It follows Aquicore's recent acquisition of Florida-based analytics firm Entic.

The new office at 401 Ninth St. NW spans more than 16,000 square feet, which the company says would comfortably house its remote staff, Florida team and D.C. team all at once.

Among ample workspace, it features newly designed creative spaces including an IoT lab and dedicated training facility, along with a list of jobs perks that includes Peloton bikes, personal trainers, video and board games, a Sweetgreen outpost, nitro cold brew and beer kegs.

Founded in 2012, Aquicore's tech platform allows commercial real estate stakeholders like executives, property managers and building engineers track building factors in real time. Its IoT sensor networks are deployed at more than 700 office buildings nationwide, including the National Press Building and The World Bank in D.C.

“This was a monumental year for Aquicore; our new office will provide the space and atmosphere we need to scale,” founder and CEO Logan Soya said in a statement. “We’re excited to be in a space that reflects our commitment to our employees and our dedication to building upon a best-in-class product that solves challenges facing the commercial real estate market in 2020 and beyond.”

The company says it will hire aggressively for the new Penn Quarter office, with a focus on growing its product team. Check out photos of the new office below.
