Beta announces fall 2022 startup cohort for accelerator program

Beta has announced the companies participating in its fall 2022 accelerator program.

The Minneapolis-based program will host 14 cohort companies that will receive training, resources and relationship building, according to Beta’s website. The accelerator runs for five months.

More than 200 startups have already participated in the program, according to a Business Journal report. Those alumni have raised over $600 million and employ more than 2,000 people.

The newest cohort is “composed of diverse founders and companies from multiple industries," Beta’s entrepreneur-in-residence Cihan Behlivan said in the announcement. "We are excited about the possibilities we can achieve with these amazing founders.”

The companies will provide live demos of their products during the Beta Showcase event on Sept. 21 as part of Twin Cities Startup Week.

These are the members of the cohort, according to Beta and Tech.mn:

  • Apex Games – a St. Paul-based software development studio that looks to connect fintech and gaming using the company’s proprietary cryptocurrency, “APEX”
  • Arcade Arena – a Roseville-based casual gaming experience that uses virtual reality for groups to socialize
  • Axon Athletics – a Minneapolis-based online training platform that uses artificial intelligence to find improve mental performance in student athletes
  • Babbl – a Minneapolis-based website that tracks stock market news attitudes and trends in conversation
  • Detect Auto – a Minneapolis-based analytics platform tailored to auto repair and dealership service centers, giving real-time insights
  • EtherSign – an Edina-based company that uses crypto blockchain to help small businesses run more efficiently
  • Faceless Pro – a Hopkins-based job board that masks personal information during the application process to diminish the risk of discrimination
  • HomSurfin – a St. Louis Park-based real estate app that works like Tinder, allowing users to swipe through listings
  • Impacks – a St. Cloud-based tech company that helps parents and educators access school supplies for students
  • Mezmira – a Minneapolis-based personal styling service tailored for professional women, offered through video chat
  • NoshPosh – a St. Paul-based startup that seeks to make healthy foods accessible, sourcing products entirely from companies that are owned by women or people of color
  • Skillquest – a St. Paul-based company offering an online learning platform to help young-adult gamers develop their skills and portfolios to get a job
  • Talknician – a Minneapolis-based company that uses augmented reality to facilitate knowledge transferring between employees
  • Telo – a Minneapolis-based company developing a safer rollator walker with integrated technology to track progress
