In a back and forth matchup that featured 1,000 votes and two tournament powerhouses, HeartHero topped CirrusMD to emerge as the 2020 Colorado Inno Tech Madness Champion.
The portable AED startup garnered 586 votes in the final round, beating out telehealth startup CirrusMD's 420 vote total.
In a bracket dominated by underdogs, the No. 7 seed HeartHero triumphed in its victory over No. 3 seed CirrusMD. The tightly contested finals featured building-mates, as both companies work out of RiNo health care hub Catalyst HTI.
In total, 12,575 votes were cast in the competition this year, far surpassing 2019’s total vote count of 3,200.
This challenge is designed to generate awareness and excitement for the state’s innovation ecosystem and the companies that make it special, all through a little friendly competition. A reminder, voting for each match was open to the community, with readers answering just one question – who would you invest in?
