The competition is heating up and only eight companies remain in Colorado Inno's 2020 Tech Madness bracket.
After 3,000 votes in the Last Sixteen, the field has been cut in half as companies vie for the coveted championship crown.
In the tightest second round matchup, SaaS giant Conga beat smart irrigation startup Rachio by 11 votes. In another close matchup, cannabis HR and payroll services startup Wurk beat supersonic jet company Boom by 18 votes.
HeartHero continued its success in Round 2, garnering the most votes as it knocked off Boulder's Sunday. CirrusMD was the second highest vote-getter, as it cruised by CyberGRX in its matchup.
Last year's champion Proximity bowed out of the tournament, as newcomer StackHawk took them down in a tight matchup.
In total, nearly 8,700 votes have been cast in the competition this year, far exceeding 2019’s total vote count of 3,200.
This challenge is designed to generate awareness and excitement for the state’s innovation ecosystem and the companies that make it special, all through a little friendly competition. A reminder, voting for each match is open to the community, with readers answering just one question – who would you invest in?
Now, we’re on to Round 3 and voting is open until March 23 at 10 p.m.
As we enter the Quarter Finals, we'll be keeping an eye on big matchups like HeartHero against Stateless, and Handoff taking on CirrusMD.
