After four rounds and 3,200 total votes, Proximity Space knocked off Zestful to win Colorado Inno's inaugural Tech Madness championship.
Nine seed Proximity Space completed its magical run through the bracket, earning the highest amount of votes in every round. The all-in-one software provider for coworking spaces ran away with the finals, beating Zestful by a wide margin. The final round garnered 635 votes.
11-seed Zestful, a platform for customized employee perks, made a valiant run to the finals, taking down Assignar, Racchio and Rowdy Mermaid along the way.
Throughout the competition, readers were answering just one question - who would you invest in?
As this was a friendly competition, a vote for one startup didn't signify a vote against the other, but one startup had to take home the final prize.
After defeating startups from across the state, Proximity Space will bring its title back to the Western Slope. This victory showcased Colorado's startup talent outside of the typical hubs of Denver and Boulder. Both Proximity Space and fellow entrant ProStar Geocorp hail from the Western Slope.
After an exciting three weeks of voting, this wraps up Colorado Inno's inaugural Tech Madness. We enjoyed observing the buzz this friendly, reader-driven competition generated throughout the startup community across the state and can't wait for next year.
Get thinking about nominations for 2020, as we'll look to build on this success and create an even larger bracket!
