After a half century in business, insurance software company Vertafore is far from a startup, but you wouldn't know that by looking at the company's Denver HQ.
The company moved into its 135,000 square foot space at 999 18th Street in 2017, after relocating from Washington state. Vertafore, which offers a suite of insurance software solutions for independent brokers and agencies, occupies three floors of the downtown Denver office space and employs more than 750 people in the city.
The space offers a variety of rooms and amenities, from a union with foosball and ping pong tables to a library with hanging egg chairs and a catalog of rentable books.
Jayne Rothman, senior vice president, general counsel at Vertafore, said the office was designed with collaboration in mind, for both employees and customers alike.
"Although Vertafore was established 50 years ago and is also part of one of the oldest industries, the culture of the office is treated much more like a startup space. We believe in pushing the boundaries of insurance technology, so we’ve developed an office to mirror our culture that emphasizes change and innovation," she said.
The office's fifth floor opened in January and is broken into four neighborhoods to house Vertafore's development team. Employees can grab a cup of joe in the coffee shop, play retro video games in the arcade, relax with a moss wall in the grove and work with clients in the customer briefing center.
