Woman-owned Dayton logistics and drone package delivery services provider will soon launch its delivery operations. The announcement follows the company’s relocation of its headquarters back to the Dayton region.
Later this summer, Drone Express will launch drone delivery operations at SouthEast Plaza Shopping Center in Winston-Salem, North Carolina. The family-friendly deliveries are exclusive bundle boxes featuring a variety of items like snacks, sweets, meals, activities for children and pet products.
Drone Express stated the deliveries will ensure essential goods are brought swiftly and safely to recipients’ locations. Customer orders can be placed through a new, innovative mobile application.
“We are incredibly excited to launch our drone delivery services in Winston-Salem,” said Beth Flippo, CEO of Drone Express. “Our team is committed to providing innovative, efficient, and eco-friendly delivery that will transform how residents shop and live. We look forward to enhancing everyday life and joining this wonderful community.”
Last October, Drone Express moved its headquarters from Dayton to Denver, Colorado. The company has since relocated its headquarters back to Dayton, while continuing to grow out of state.
Drone Express is finalizing its Part 135 certification, with the Federal Aviation Administration, which the company said will provide increased flexibility and enable expansion to additional locations. Upon completion, Drone Express will be one of only a few companies certified to perform unmanned beyond visual line of sight deliveries in the United States.
Drone Express is an innovative aviation company disrupting last-mile logistics by embracing autonomous flight. Founded in 2021, the company has secured strategic nationwide partnerships with The Kroger Company, Papa John’s International, Winsupply and other retailers.
