Tech Madness 2020: Give it Up For These Winners

Aaaaaaaand that's a wrap.

The curtains have been drawn on the friendly competition that began with 64 private and 16 public companies going neck and neck for bragging rights, honor and glory points.

A total of 80,114 votes were cast in the competition to decide the two companies that walk away as champions of this year's Tech Madness tournament.

Our 2020 winner in the private bracket is Berkshire Grey. The AI and robotics company took the win from 3D greeting cards startup Lovepop by a landslide: 1,223 to 298.

In the public bracket, however, the competition was tighter. Cambridge-based CarGurus beat pet retailer Chewy by 52 votes, taking the Tech Madness championship title home.

We asked you, readers, to vote for a company you’d invest in. This could be because you think they’d give you the best return on your investment, or you just believed in the company’s mission.

Our past winners include Toast (2019) and Botkeeper (2018).

Congratulations to the winners.
