- Johnson & Johnson Inc. closed its acquisition of Danvers medical device maker Abiomed Inc. The deal was valued at $16.6 billion, making it one of the largest acquisitions of the year.
- Seattle-based biotech Kineta Inc. completed its reverse merger with Boston-based biotech Yumanity Therapeutics Inc. The combined company now goes by Kineta and trades on the Nasdaq under the ticker symbol KA.
- Boston-based Wellable, an employee wellness tech company, has acquired the assets of DailyEndorphin, a corporate wellness challenges company.
- Chicago’s Motorola Solutions acquired Framingham-based Rave Mobile Safety, a company that helps organizations and public safety agencies communicate and collaborate during emergencies. Rave’s platform will be integrated into Motorola Solutions’ technology portfolio.
- Boston’s Battery Ventures, a tech-focused investment firm, sold its portfolio company Qognify, a provider of physical-security and incident-management software, to Hexagon AB.
- Treacy & Co., a Needham-based boutique growth and innovation consulting firm, has been acquired by Cherry Bekaert, a large accounting firm in Raleigh, North Carolina.
- Burlington-based Veracode has acquired Germany-based software security company Crashtest Security.
- NeighborSchools, a Boston-based startup that helps childhood educators open and manage licensed, micro-daycares in their homes, announced it was acquired by Higher Ground Education Inc. - Watertown-based Disc Medicine, which focuses on treatments for patients with serious hematological disease, has completed its merger with Wayland's Gemini Therapeutics.
