Quickly growing business, technology and staffing solutions firm Turnberry Solutions Inc. has appointed Allen Debes its new CEO, as announced Wednesday.

Debes joined the Minneapolis-based business consulting firm in 2023 as president and chief growth officer after leading software development firm Nexient as CEO. He was CEO for nearly a year after it was acquired by Plano, Texas-based NTT Data Services in 2021.

Before joining Nexient in 2019, Debes spent his career at a variety of technology and consulting firms across the Twin Cities. In Turnberry’s news release, it also says he has worked as a senior leader at two Fortune 500 companies. He earned a bachelor’s in business administration and management at Saint John’s University and an MBA at the University of Minnesota.

“His in-depth understanding of complex market dynamics, combined with his passion to build and be in service to high-performing teams, will serve Turnberry well going forward,” the news release said.

Turnberry Solutions ranked No. 1 on the Business Journal’s Fast 50 List in 2023 with a revenue growth rate of 401.51% from 2020 to 2022. Turnberry reported 2022 revenue of $305.8 million — up from $61 million in 2020. Its growth was the result of a 2021 merger between Minneapolis-based ThreeBridge Solutions, which Turnberry's CEO Jim Kelly founded in 2009. Kelly will remain on board as Turnberry’s strategic advisor and chairman of the board.

Debes described in the news release that his six months at Turnberry have been a positive experience.

“I have seen our outstanding team rise to the occasion again and again. Our Turnberry team is remarkable, as is our ever-growing list of clients, and I am inspired to lead the organization for years to come.”

Kelly previously told the Business Journal that the firm is focused on becoming the best, largest and most unique services boutique firm in the world.

"Moving from $300 million to $1 billion will include growing organically through local and global solutions delivery, becoming great at extending our core service offerings in the market through our outstanding consulting leaders and staff, and integrating additional locations and uniquely branded capabilities through ongoing acquisitions," Kelly said.

In the news release, Kelly said he was proud to name Debes as his successor.

“His deep well of expertise makes him uniquely prepared to tackle the challenges and opportunities that come with growing this business while maintaining our boutique culture, agile and lean business model, best-in-class consultant care, and transparent, high-quality client delivery approach.”
