Minne Inno is making a list of startups to watch in the new year, and we need your help.

What are some up-and-coming Minnesota-based companies that you expect to really take off in 2024? Maybe they have innovative products or services, impressive growth, a deluge of attention in recent months or some big success on the funding trail.

Reach J.D. Duggan with your nominations at JDuggan@bizjournals.com.

We’re especially interested in smaller or newer companies, but we welcome all nominations from around the metro and some regional hubs in the state.

The list for 2023 included a few startups that we've continued to cover over the course of the year.

Minne Inno reported in August that Phoam Labs – formerly BKB Floral – was gearing up for production. At that time, the company noted it could have potential to create 100,000 bricks a month of biodegradable foam that can replace petroleum based floral foam.

Minne Inno has also had a couple features this year for YourPath, a St. Paul-based health technology startup that supports people with substance-use disorders. In June, we featured co-founder Philip Gyura as one of our Health Care Heroes. We also recently wrote about the addition of Philip Rutherford as its new chief operations officer.

TurnSignl has continued to make waves, too. It’s a Minneapolis-based app that provides on-demand legal help to drivers who have been stopped by the police. Andre Creighton was honored as a 2023 CFO of the Year and co-founder and CEO Jazz Hampton was noted as a Black Leader during Black History Month. Chief growth officer and co-founder Mychal Frelix was also honored as a Black Leader.

Check out the dozen companies featured on the list of Minneapolis/St. Paul startups to watch in 2023.
