After five months of competition, just nine companies remain in the 2019 Minnesota Cup.

The statewide startup competition released its division winners Friday. The final pool of competitors includes Homi, a company connecting college students with internship opportunities, and Abilitech Medical, which aims to help those with neuromuscular conditions.

Each division winner will receive $30,000 and will go on to present to the competition's Grand Prize Review Board on Oct. 14. These pitches will take place at a free, public event during Twin Cities Startup Week.

Over $500,000 in prizes will be awarded to top startups throughout the night. The grand prize winner will take home an additional $50,000 on top of their prior winnings.

After winning last year’s competition, HabitAware was listed on Time Magazine’s list of Best 2018 Inventions. The company also won the top prize in MEDA’s $1 Million Challenge, walking away with $400,000.
