Growing financial-technology company Total Expert has added three people to its executive team, the company announced Tuesday.

Founded in 2012, St. Louis Park-based Total Expert makes marketing, compliance and reporting software that's been especially popular with mortgage firms.

Steve Sovik, a software sales veteran, will join Total Expert as its chief revenue officer. Prior to joining the company, Sovik served as chief revenue officer at San Mateo, Calif.-based Tipalti, a business focused on automating accounts payable processes. At Total Expert, Sovik will run sales operations and focus on customer acquisitions.

Deanna Swanson is the company's new vice president of people operations. She will direct and lead hiring processes and culture development, as well as employee growth and success. Swanson previously held HR leadership positions with SingleHop, Chicago Fire Soccer Club and Driehaus Capital Management.

Peggy McGillis, another technology industry veteran, will serve as Total Expert's senior vice president of marketing. McGillis most recently served as senior director of industries marketing at Workday. In her new role, she will lead the marketing team to continue driving customer demand and building Total Expert's brand.

News of the company's new hires comes after a long period of growth. Over the past three years, Total Expert's revenues have increased 3,206 percent and employee headcount has grown 130 percent in the last year. The company expects to grow its staff to 250 by the end of 2019.

Total Expert brought in $11.1 million in revenue last year and landed at No. 105 on Inc. Magazine's list of the 5,000 fastest-growing companies in the United States.

In October 2018, Total Expert closed on a $20 million round of venture capital to accelerate growth. Emergence Capital, a San Mateo, Calif.-based venture capital firm that counts Salesforce, Yammer and Crunchbase among its portfolio companies, led the round. The company's previous investors, including Arthur Ventures and Rally Ventures, also participated.

Total expert has raised around $34 million in total venture capital, according to Crunchbase. It is one of the top-funded SaaS companies in Minnesota.
