St. Louis has an aging workforce.

Data in the recently released 2022 State of the St. Louis Workforce Report showed the percentage of workers 55 years of age or older in the local workforce has climbed in the past decade to account for 24.1% of workers in 2021, up from 19.2% in 2011.

Key to St. Louis’ ability to grow its population and economy in the years to come will be cultivating the next generation of workers and companies. With that in mind, we asked this year’s Inno Under 25 honorees about how St. Louis can better engage and attract entrepreneurs and technologists to the region. The honorees offered up several recommendations, ranging from creating new networks for college and high school students to creating new funding opportunities to help young entrepreneurs launch their companies locally.

Scroll through the gallery below to take a look at the recommendations offered by this year’s honorees.
