It’s hard not to be inspired by the 2022 class of Inno Under 25 honorees.

Our Inno Under 25 feature, launched last year, is designed to spotlight some of St. Louis’ up-and-coming innovators. This year’s 10 honorees certainly meet the mission of the program. They’ve started businesses, helped big brands advance their innovation and have overcome adversity to make an impact at such a young age.

But what impresses me most about this year’s honorees isn’t solely the accomplishments they’ve already achieved in their young lives. It’s also their ambition to foster more entrepreneurship in St. Louis.

Civic leaders have pegged entrepreneurship and innovation as a growth vector for St. Louis and it’s clear our honorees in this year’s Inno Under 25 class could play a role in helping the region achieve that goal.

Honorees like Brett Luing and Maddy Singleton offer examples of how young people can help advance and grow St. Louis’ entrepreneurial economy. Luing, program manager at St. Louis startup investor Capital Innovators, moved to St. Louis from Chicago and has placed a focus on introducing international companies to St. Louis through Capital Innovators programming. Singleton, a student at Washington University, has helped launch a health technology startup. But she’s also created a student group focused on introducing more of her classmates to entrepreneurship.

Those are just two examples of how this year’s 10 honorees are not only advancing their own careers at a rapid pace, but also seeking to better the region’s culture of entrepreneurship and innovation. The best part of it? Our honorees are just getting started. You’ll want to keep an eye on them for the years to come.

We’ve written profiles on each of the 10 honorees in Inno Under 25. You can access the profiles by clicking on the links below.
