The metrics stand out for Textel, which has developed text messaging software for contact centers and businesses. It says its annual revenue increased by more than 70% year over year in 2021. That growth came as the startup says it experienced 57% growth in new customers last year. It is projecting 100% revenue growth this year. Textel, headquartered just south of downtown, boasts an impressive roster of clients, with brands like 3M, Sony and Vera Bradley using its technology. James Diel is CEO of Textel.

What was your company’s biggest achievement in the past year? Textel is most proud of the launch of our brand new messaging platform. Our updated architecture gave us both immediate boosts to performance and functionality, and laid the groundwork for our future vision. Close behind the new platform was our completion of international availability for texting. Now our clients can send and receive messages around the world.

What is your company’s top goal for the next year? We’re planning to continue maturing our messaging platform in the areas of artificial intelligence and automation, particularly in the realm of using bots to help smooth out the workflows of our clients with contact centers. We’re projecting 100% revenue growth over the course of next year.

Are you currently hiring? If so, for what roles? We’re always on the lookout for great folks who can help push our company forward. Right now, roles in sales and engineering are of particular interest.
