Muon Space Inc., Mountain View, $10 million: Costanoa Ventures led the seed round for this developer of a space-based climate analysis service. Space Capital, Congruent VC, Ubiquity Ventures, South Park Commons and Climactic VC also participated.
Alembic Technologies Inc., San Francisco, $9.5 million: KB Partners and OCA Ventures led the seed funding of this provider of a marketing analysis service.
Playbook, San Francisco, $6 million: Atomico led the seed round for this developer of a financial planning app targeted at higher-earning millennials.
Phonic Inc. (dba Phonic.ai), Foster City, $2.2 million: Y Combinator, Tola, Supernode and Remus all invested in the seed round for this provider of a video-based consumer research service.
MEandMine Inc., Los Gatos, $2.1 million: Wistron led the seed funding for this educational game company.
