Seven Bay Area startups disclosed seed funding deals in the past week.
Among them were a San Francisco company that helps everyday people buy rental properties and a South San Francisco one working on self-driving technology for tractors and other farm vehicles.
Here are the details:
- Awning CRE Inc., San Francisco, $9.3 million: Global Founders Capital led the seed round for this provider of a service that helps individuals invest in rental residential real estate. MassMutual Ventures and Backend Capital also invested.
- Fauna Bio Inc., Emeryville, $9 million: LifeForce Capital led the seed round for this biotechnology startup that uses data from animal genomes to develop treatments for human diseases. True Ventures, Boom Capital, Pacific 8 Ventures, BioMed Ventures, Vibe Capital and Arcadia Science joined the round.
- DevSpace Technologies Inc. (dba Loft Labs), San Francisco, $4.6 million: Fusion Fund led the seed funding of this provider of software that helps engineering teams collaborate. RTP Seed, Emergent Ventures and Berkeley SkyDeck Fund also participated.
- Pronto Technology Inc., Cupertino, $4 million: Work-Bench led the seed funding of this provider of communications and collaboration software. Vertex Ventures US, Firebolt Ventures and Tau Ventures also participated.
- Agtonomy, South San Francisco, $4 million: Grit Ventures, GV and Village Global invested in the seed round for developer of autonomous agricultural equipment.
- Dataships Ltd., Marin and Ireland, $3 million: Lavrock Ventures and Urban Innovation Fund led the seed funding of this provider of data privacy compliance software.
- Omneky Inc., San Francisco, $2.5 million: Village Global and Hyphen Capital invested in the seed round for this provider of a service that uses artificial intelligence to create personalized ads.
