Startups to Watch: Looking back on the class of 2022

In its inaugural year, Sacramento Inno featured a baker's dozen Startups to Watch last January.

Right off the bat, home-improvement financing app Acorn Finance last January raised an $8.4 million funding round led by Boston-based MassMutual Ventures, a new investor.

Another highlighted company, Advanced Farm Technologies Inc., which designs and builds fruit-picking autonomous robots, has added tree fruit to its initial strawberry line of business and added employees.

Sadly, one Startup to Watch from last year, Noopl, closed in May when it couldn’t raise money for its smartphone-enabled device that worked as a directional hearing aid.
