In 2020, after growing a large base of customers in Rhode Island and Massachusetts, Providence-based Feast & Fettle raised 1.2M to fund an expansion into neighboring Connecticut. Now, that investment is paying off.

In August, the premium meal delivery service added West Hartford, Avon and Simsbury to the list of towns they serve and announced plans to serve several additional towns in Fairfield County including Trumbull, Ridgefield, Redding, Wilton and Weston by adding a second facility in the state.

Feast & Fettle Director of Marketing Sarah MacDougall said the company is eyeing a second location in Connecticut to support the expanding customer base. She said in addition to high quality food offerings, the company's member services team has also played a huge role in Feast & Fettle's differentiation, as they respond and solve issues in almost real time and frequently distribute gifts to members to show their appreciation.

MacDougall said construction on their new Connecticut facility will be completed in 2023 and plans include a state-of-the-art commercial kitchen.

"We’re currently close to locking in our second facility in Connecticut. It’s taken close to a year to find as it needed to be the right fit for our operations. The 25k square foot facility will allow us to grow our Connecticut member base and expand into New York," she said.

Launched in 2016 by Maggie Mulvena Pearson, Feast & Fettle delivers restaurant-quality meals and has carved out a niche by serving busy families and professionals. Over the last two years, according to MacDougall, Feast & Fettle has expanded their kitchen facility in Rhode Island to over 15,000 square feet and currently employ over 150 people in Rhode Island. As a result of their expansion efforts, Feast & Fettle were named the fastest growing company in Rhode Island and the 83rd fastest in the country by Inc Magazine. recently.

"We’ve carved out a niche by catering to busy, working families who won't settle for anything less than a wholesome meal that tastes like it was made right in their home," she said. "You won’t find any words you can’t pronounce in our ingredient lists and we follow rigid ingredient standards. We are fully-vertically integrated meaning we prepare, package, and deliver all meals ourselves to ensure they remain fresh and are handled with care each stop of the way."
