Oregon Tech Awards finalists named for 2024

The Technology Association of Oregon is hosting the annual Oregon Tech Awards in May.

Finalists have been named for the 2024 Oregon Tech Awards, a program from the Technology Association of Oregon that celebrates the industry in Oregon and Southwest Washington.

The winners will be announced at an event May 6 at the Oregon Museum of Science and Industry. Tickets are on sale now.

Each year, TAO honors eight companies across a range of categories, along with three teachers and one student of the year.

Here’s the finalists in each of the company categories:

Pre-revenue:

  • Ability, the Eugene-based company makes tools for developers to ensure websites are accessible to people with disabilities.
  • Finnegan the Dragon, the Hillsboro-based company created a preschool learning and mobile game that targets language development.
  • SPWES, Sustainable Power and Water Engineering Solution, is a Vancouver-based company that develops systems for solar generators, energy storage, solar pumping and electric vehicle charging.

Emerging (under $2.9 million revenue):

Rising Star ($3 million to $9.9 million revenue):

Accelerate ($10 million to $19.9 million revenue):

Growth ($20 million to $49.9 million revenue):

  • Valaurum, the Portland company has proprietary technology to print with gold and create printed gold bills.

Momentum ($50 million to $99.9 million revenue):

  • LegitScript, the Portland company uses artificial intelligence plus experienced staff to monitor and certify online entities for customers like search engines, payments companies and e-commerce platforms.
  • Logical Position, the Lake Oswego company offers internet and email marketing to customers in industries like automotive, health care and retail.
  • SheerID, the Portland company makes software used by brands to verify identities and offer discounts to certain populations.
