Beaverton software maker eyes global expansion, adds new exec

Beaverton software maker RFPIO is boosting its global expansion efforts with a new sales executive based in Europe and focused on markets outside North America.

Astrid Masle-Boer has been tapped as vice president of sales. She is based in the Netherlands and will advance the company’s international expansion plans in Europe, the Middle East and Africa as well as in the Asia Pacific region.

RFPIO had about 20% of its 2021 revenue come from international sales.

“Astrid is an outstanding addition to our leadership team. She is a proven sales leader with a demonstrated ability to build strategic relationships and will help RFPIO scale international operations.” said CEO Ganesh Shankar in a written statement. “As organizations embrace new work methodologies and environments, Astrid will play a critical role in ensuring that RFPIO’s offering aligns with what our customers need in order to meet their revenue goals.”

Masle-Boer was most recently managing director of WEX Europe and sales director of Europe, Middle East and Africa for the U.S.-based payments company WEX.

RFPIO makes software that customers use to answer and manage the RFP process and other business inquiries. The company calls its emerging market response management software. The company has grown quickly over the last six years.

It has 325 employees and has made two acquisitions in the last six months. The company noted that since the start of 2021 it has added around 105,000 users to its platform. Customers include Google, Microsoft and Adobe.
