On Wednesday, venture capital firm Chloe Capital announced the five women entrepreneurs who will participate in its Invest in Women x Pittsburgh accelerator cohort.
The Invest in Women x Pittsburgh accelerator program is a joint effort between Chloe Capital and Pittsburgh startup incubator Ascender. It is supported by the Richard King Mellon Foundation.
It will be the second cohort to participate in the program. The selected 2024 participants are:
Anne Germain, CEO and founder of NOCTEM Health, a developer of remote patient monitoring systems that can track behavioral sleep and help providers scale treatments for sleep problems such as insomnia
Anna Li, CEO and co-founder of Korion Health, a developer of health care technology to enable at-home screenings and prevent deaths from heart disease — Korion Health was a Pittsburgh Inno Startup to Watch in 2023.
Destenie Nock, CEO and founder of Peoples Energy Analytics, a software-as-a-service platform that analyzes energy use data to identify and reach at-risk households before they default on their bills.
Daniela Osio, CEO and co-founder of Kloopify, a software platform that utilizes near-time today to enable procurement teams to make sustainable procurement decisions — Kloopify was a Pittsburgh Inno Startup to Watch in 2023 and Osio was a 2023 30 Under 30 honoree.
Jennifer Price, CEO and founder, Disability Media Network, a streaming network with content created by and for the disabled community.
The five cohort participants will each have the opportunity to connect with national leaders, hear feedback and receive potential investment from Chloe Capital. The firm said that by the end of the program, it will make at least one investment in a company located within or willing to relocate to Allegheny or Westmoreland counties.
“Each year Ascender impacts hundreds of entrepreneurs across many industries,” Nadyli Nuñez, executive director at Ascender, said in a release. “Through our continued partnership with Chloe Capital and the Richard King Mellon Foundation we’re honored to highlight some of the region’s top performing, technology companies that are also led by women. The talent is beyond impressive and I’m excited to witness the growth of these companies over the next few months.”
