FlexScreen, the Export-based manufacturer of flexible window screens, is set to unveil what the company is touting as one of its “most innovative and ambitious projects to date.”

That project is a new fully-automated manufacturing line for its signature window screens, and it will be introduced at this year’s GlassBuild America exhibition in Atlanta, Georgia, set to take place from Oct. 31 through Nov. 2.

The manufacturing line was developed by FlexScreen in collaboration with Princeton, Minnesota-based Erdman Automation. The manufacturing line is able to produce four screens per minute with only four human operators. According to FlexScreen’s top officer, the technology opens new doors for the company, which first gained notoriety for an appearance on ABC’s Shark Tank and a subsequent investment from shark and “Queen of QVC,” Lori Greiner. The company has since grown revenue significantly, landing in spot No. 6 on this year’s List of the 50 fastest-growing private companies in the Pittsburgh region.

"Automating our process has opened up a whole new world for FlexScreen and the window industry as a whole," FlexScreen Inventor and CEO Joe Altieri said in a release. "We were thrilled to partner with the genius engineers at Erdman Automation. They delivered above and beyond our expectations. Now, window manufacturers can now license our technology, make FlexScreen in-house, and recoup their investment in record time. It's a total game-changer."

Representatives from both FlexScreen and Erdman will be at the GlassBuild America exhibition to demonstrate both the automated manufacturing line and the FlexScreen products.
