Jason Quintana became senior manager of solutions engineering of Inc. 5000 company OneRail by the time he was 24 years old — but that's just one part of his tech resume.

Quintana, who works at Orlando-based logistics technology company OneRail, also started Miami-based startup Community Tech LLC in 2019. For his work at OneRail and his own startup, Quintana was named one of five honorees in the 2022 Inno Under 25 cohort.

The annual program recognizes five Central Florida entrepreneurs and technologists age 25 or younger who are making waves in the business community. All five honorees are recognized on Orlando Inno's website, as well as in Orlando Business Journal's Oct. 14 print issue.

Here, Quintana shares more with Orlando Inno about his career path and his other startup.

What does your company do? OneRail is a last-mile transportation visibility platform. With a real-time connected network of 9.7 million drivers and growing, OneRail finds the right vehicle for the right delivery so shippers gain low prices and greater capacity to rapidly scale their businesses and keep their delivery promises.

What were your company’s greatest accomplishments of the last 12 months? OneRail has has earned considerable industry recognition this year, most notably being ranked No. 48 on the Inc. 5000 list of fastest-growing private companies in America. Due to the startup's extraordinary year-over-year growth of 6,879% since its founding in 2018, OneRail also ranked No. 5 in Florida, No. 2 in Orlando and as the fourth fastest-growing company in the category of software. OneRail CEO Bill Catania recently was accepted to the Forbes Technology Council. Catania also was named one of Orlando Business Journal's 2022 Power Players and is a 2022 C-Suite Awards honoree. OneRail has hit an inflection point, with three-times revenue growth since January 2022, and 100% revenue growth between March-May 2022.

What’s your top work-related goal for 2022? To help OneRail become a more metrics- and process-driven organization. As the company continues to grow at hyper speed, it’s more important than ever to implement repeatable processes that can be followed easily by others in the company. A goal that goes hand-in-hand with that is to learn from those above me. For young people like myself, the biggest thing you can do is always listen and learn.

Who is your best career mentor? Lisa Catania, co-founder and executive vice president of customer success at OneRail, has been an amazing mentor to me as I navigated the transition from college to a full-time opportunity. Lisa took a chance on me when many others — she hired me at age 23 to kickstart a new department within OneRail. Lisa has taught me that taking a customer-centric approach to problems that arise throughout the day can help me understand how to properly implement and find a solution. She also taught me it's OK to not know the answer to everything.

What are your hobbies? They revolve around friends and family. I try my best to travel to at least one unique location a month with people — whether that means hanging by the beach, hiking up mountains or getting VIP tickets to Coachella. When I'm not with friends and family, I also love music. I currently play three instruments (guitar, saxophone and piano), so I always like to listen to new songs and challenge myself to learn how to play them.

What is a fun fact about you? My best friend Richard Dale and I started a company called Community Tech while we were in college. He and I have been friends since middle school band, and we both ended up exploring an engineering path. Growing up in South Florida, we realized it's a common problem that communities have 30- to 40-minute lines at their gates. We decided if no one else is going to solve the problem, we might as well try ourselves. We started Community Tech, a visitor access management startup that eliminates wait times by over 80%, while also giving back to the local communities.
