Of the 172 companies that appear on the Inc. Regionals: Midwest ranking of fastest-growing private companies, the top two hail from Wisconsin — and No. 1 is a runaway winner.

The Inc. Regionals listing is an extension of the media company's annual Inc. 5000 list of the fastest-growing private companies. For 2024, the top company is Carbliss in Plymouth, a maker of vodka-, tequila- and rum-based canned cocktails that have zero carbs and sugar. Its products are available at bars and grocery stores.

Carbliss was founded in 2018 by husband-and-wife team Adam and Amanda Kroener when they were on a keto diet. The firm was the runner-up in the 2022 Wisconsin Inno Madness competition. According to Inc., its two-year growth rate since then has been 7,127%.

That growth far outpaces the second-ranked company on the list, Vyper Industrial in Green Bay. Vyper, with a two-year growth rate of 2,613%, is a "family-owned company specializing in American-made shop chairs that prevent back and knee pain," according to Inc.

The companies were among 11 Wisconsin firms on the Inc. Regionals: Midwest list. Here are the others making the list with their two-year growth rates:

  • 14. Focus Property, Kaukauna: 572%
  • 21. Zodica Perfumery, Madison: 488%
  • 26. Above the Bar Marketing LLC, Madison: 375%
  • 44. Rolling Equity Leasing, Waukesha: 282%
  • 50. Schultz Real Estate Group, Stevens Point: 245%
  • 95. Continuus Technologies, Milwaukee: 122%
  • 118. JJB Home, Milwaukee: 92%
  • 123. Carnivore Meat Co., Green Bay: 88%
  • 127. Fox World Travel, Oshkosh: 83%

In order to qualify for this year's list, companies must have been founded and generating revenue by March 31, 2020, and be based in the U.S., with a minimum revenue requirement of $100,000 for 2020 and $1 million for 2022. Companies were ranked according to percentage revenue growth from 2020 to 2022.

The Midwest region includes Wisconsin, Illinois, Indiana, Iowa, Kansas, Michigan, Minnesota, Missouri, Nebraska, North Dakota, Ohio and South Dakota.
