Wisconsin startup accelerator gener8tor has announced the Milwaukee companies picked for its gBeta Milwaukee fall cohort.
GBeta is a seven-week, free accelerator program for early-stage companies. The companies were chosen from a pool of 65applications.
The cohort will conclude with a virtual pitch night on Dec. 15 in partnership with gBeta cohorts in Madison and Beloit.
- Investii: Led by CEO Nishant Deshpande, the company's cloud-based software platform helps people visualize their finances in one place, move funds among all accounts, and earn rewards points for moving money into savings vehicles.
- Joy Boost: Under CEO Kyle Hagge, the company developed a wireless charging sticker that delivers a full charge to any mobile device with no cords or outlets required that can be used at events.
- Otto: Led by CEO Harsimran Kalsi, the company developed a marketplace for early-stage biotech and biopharma companies, scientists, physicians and labs so they may cooperate and outsource experimentation.
- Rapid Radicals Technology: Founded and led by Paige Peters, the company developed an end-of-pipe treatment technology that moves wastewater through a chemically enhanced conveyance system and safely back into lakes and rivers. Earlier this year, Peters received a $75,000 phase one Small Business Innovation Research-Advance grant.
- Safelumin: Led by CEO Chamy Lutz. the firm developed a device that acts as a normal light bulb in any light fixture, but during a power failure, provides three hours of backup illumination to homes or businesses.
