Mark your calendars, tech community: The fifth edition of TechFest Louisville is only a month away.
Held every other year by the Technology Association of Louisville (TALK), the event will take place from Aug. 24-25 at the University of Louisville’s Trager Institute and The Thrive Center, located next to each other at 204 E. Market St., Suites A & B.
The event has averaged more than 300 attendees in recent years. Learning sessions will cover such topics as emerging tech/AI, 5G/broadband, health care-related IT, cybersecurity and cryptocurrency.
The event is scheduled to run from 8:30 a.m. to 4 p.m, followed by a cocktail time from 4:30-6:30 p.m. It will conclude on Aug. 25 with programming from 9 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. A full agenda can be found on techfestlou.com.
Keynote speakers include Sara Hines, strategic innovation director at Humana, who will be presenting “How Humana Uses AI & Its Potential In Your Work” on Aug. 24 at the UoL’s Trager Institute.
Adam Anderson, managing general partner at Ansuz Capital from Greenville, South Carolina, will be giving a presentation titled, “What’s Hot & What’s Not in the World of Tech Investing & Bourbon” at 11:30 a.m. on Aug. 25 at The Thrive Center.
Notable members of the local entrepreneurial ecosystem who will be giving presentations include Vanessa Williams-Harvey, the founder and CEO of DUES 24 (9:30 a.m., Aug. 24) and Jonathan Frazier, the co-founder of Trustware.io (Aug. 25, 12:30 p.m.).
In addition to the sessions/presentations, the event features a miniature trade show, as well as interactive training sessions on generative AI from Render Capital — and Power BI, from Dean Dorton.
Single day tickets are $99; both days, $198.
