Capture Higher Ed has added an edtech and enterprise software veteran to its C-suite.

Rajeev Arora has joined the Louisville-based enrollment management and marketing firm as chief product officer. With more than 30 years of experience growing global software companies from concept to industry-leading businesses, Arora will oversee product strategy and development at Capture, according to a news release.

“I am so excited to be part of Capture,” Arora said in the release. “I believe wholeheartedly in the mission of helping our partner institutions survive and thrive by providing the marketing services and software intelligence layer that drive their enrollment and retention successes.”

Arora comes to Capture after serving as chief operating officer for Lingk, a higher education data integration platform, and chief marketing officer for Nearpod, which provides K-12 teachers an interactive classroom tool to engage students with online activities.

Prior to that, he was the senior vice president of product at Parchment, a provider of academic credential solutions for schools and universities, where he developed strategy and led delivery of products within the company’s online platform from 2012 to 2018. Arora also served in key leadership roles at Blackboard, a provider of education-related software and services, and Elluminate, a venture-backed virtual classroom software provider.

“Rajeev’s extensive experience in developing and scaling products that support a company’s rapid growth made him the perfect choice for Capture at this juncture," said Capture CEO Leonard Napolitano in the release. “Throughout his impressive career, Rajeev has been a leader in new product development... from architecture, design and implementation to successful launch to sales channels and partners.

"He has a proven track record for contributing to the rapid growth in the education space. Rajeev’s passion for what we’re trying to achieve at Capture and his ability to reimagine how we develop, scale and deliver our products are just some of the reasons he was chosen for this crucial role."

In addition to Arora and Napolitano, Capture's C-suite includes Jim Lintner, chief financial officer, and Matt Smith, chief operating officer.
