Dallas is getting a new headquarters, this time from a company not based along the coasts but rather from across the pond.

With clients already in the region, London digital marketing and strategy agency Three Whiskey has chosen to make its Dallas offices, opened in 2018, as the site of its U.S. headquarters, and it’s looking to hire as it expands its operations locally.

“After opening an office in Dallas… the city became a natural fit for our U.S. headquarters, especially as we continue to scale our business and partner with large companies,” said Ben Myall, CEO of Three Whiskey U.S.

The company is located at 8750 N. Central Expressway, across the highway from NorthPark Center. It named Rebecca Wong as its managing director to lead the local offices. Before joining Three Whiskey last year, Wong served as the director of client services for D Custom, the marketing agency arm of D Magazine.

According to Three Whiskey’s LinkedIn, the firm has eight employees in the North Texas area and plans to hire 25 new positions over the next year. Currently, the company’s website lists two open positions, including media manager and media analyst. Those new hires would bring Three Whiskey’s total headcount to more than 100. The company said it has a global team of about 60.

Three Whiskey said the decision to plant roots in Dallas is due to the density of Fortune 500 companies in the region. Myall also cited North Texas’ talent pool, airport, and geographic location in the middle of the county, which will help it connect easier with its clients in California and Georgia. Earlier this year, the company said clients like Texas Health Resources were also instrumental in the headquarters location decision.

The company has seen recent growth during the pandemic. Without disclosing specifics, Myall said Three Whiskey saw 100 percent year-over-year revenue growth in 2020. He added that the company’s U.S. business represents about half of its revenue.

“I think the industry was badly affected, with many brands pulling back on advertising spend and agencies having to be agile in supporting clients through turbulent times. Three Whiskey experienced some of this in the U.K., but two factors helped us continue to grow,” Myall said via email. “We have a large focus on health care, which was a less-affected sector, and our focus on delivering great work and excellent services to our clients saw us win business through client growth and referral.”

Three Whiskey isn’t the only digital agency that’s seen recent tailwinds. Local firm LifeBlue recently told NTX Inno that it is projecting stronger revenues than it saw in 2019 this year and tripled its headcount to 34. Dallas firm Tandem Theory also grew its team by 23, bringing its total to 65 people. In addition, fellow digital marketing agency Youtech opened its third office in Plano, adding to others in Chicago and the Phoenix area, with plans to have around 50 employees locally in the next three years.
