Central Ohio's Coolest Offices: Mixt Solutions

There aren't too many jobs that will pay you to read a book. But that's part of the package at Mixt Solutions, an Amazon seller whose Plain City office features a library and an incentive program for using it.

Mixt, a regular presence on our list of the region's fastest-growing companies, is the first entrant in our 2024 search for Central Ohio's Coolest Offices. You can see photos of the company's space in the slideshow with this story.

Founding Partner Alexander Johnson said the company takes an innovative approach to marrying its culture and its space. For example, Mixt Bucks are awarded to high performers and for standout actions, including reading a book in the Mixt Library. Those Mixt Bucks are then redeemable for cash or product.

Mixt has a staff of 24 right now, putting it in the small category in our 2024 Coolest Offices contest.

Have questions about the contest? Here's what you need to know: Throughout the month of March, Columbus Inno will run slideshows of local offices, in the hunt for the region's coolest. To participate, email ekennedy@bizjournals.com with the following:

  • Three to 10 photos of your company's offices.
  • A brief description of what your company does and how it innovates, plus an explanation of how your physical space reflects that effort.
  • Employee count.
  • Photo credit and copyright information for your submitted photos. We need to know who took the photos, who owns them, and that we have permission from the latter party to use them.
