SPR Therapeutics wins inaugural Inno Madness competition

Inno Madness

SPR Therapeutics Inc. is the winner of Cleveland Inno's inaugural Inno Madness competition.

The med-tech company takes home the title having defeated Cleveland Kitchen in the final of our month-long competition in which we asked readers to advance companies in a bracket-style challenge based on one question: "Who would you invest in?"

Inno Madness began with 16 companies, which you can learn more about here and you can see in the bracket below. Reader voting narrowed the field to eight and then four before setting up last week's final.

SPR Therapeutics now stands atop the field as the 2022 Inno Madness champion.

Our goal with Inno Madness is to offer a glimpse at some of the companies working in the innovation space in Northeast Ohio. It is by no means a complete representation of Cleveland's cutting-edge companies or the city's deep roster of startup ventures. Instead, Inno Madness aims to be a nod to the local innovation ecosystem at large and the many forward-looking companies doing business locally that are worth checking out.

You also can learn about some of the newer companies in Northeast Ohio's innovation space through our Startups to Watch list.

In the case of SPR Therapeutics, the company works to provide patients with pain relief without opioids or surgery, featuring its Sprint PNS System. The venture last fall closed a $37 million funding round.

Check back in the weeks ahead to learn more about SPR Therapeutics and how the company's leadership is positioning the business for continued success.
