Inno Approved is our monthly roundup of the tech and startup events to mark on your calendar.

There’s lots happening in Cincinnati’s startup and tech scene.

Unsure where to start? We’ve highlighted some of our favorite happenings in the greater Cincinnati area, moving week by week, then day to day, with information on pricing, location, theme, and anything else attendees ought to know. We’ll update this calendar as the month progresses, too, so you’ll never miss an event. Mingle on!

Tuesday, 2/4 Alibaba.com Build Up Cinicinnati Workshop & Networking Event: “Join the Alibaba.com team at Cintrifuse over breakfast to learn more about B2B e-commerce and how to sell B2B online with Alibaba.com. Wednesday, 2/5 getWITit Cincinnati Launch Party: “You're officially invited to join us at the getWITit Cincinnati Chapter Launch! Thursday, 2/6 Monthly Technology Drinkup: “We meet the first Thursday of every month at MOTR Pub in Cincinnati. The focus of the event is for industry professionals to connect and talk about technology, software development, design, digital marketing and, of course, beer! We welcome attendees from all backgrounds, whether you're a hobbyist, beginning your career or an industry veteran. See you there!” More information here.

Friday, 2/7 February Deep Dive at The Space: “When we picture a great Friday morning it includes motivating conversation, solid networking and, of course, coffee. Sound good to you, too? Join us the first Friday of every month for a group conversation about all things business. From marketing to finances to personal and leadership development, our conversations follow the needs of the group. What do you need to work out in your own business and how can we help you develop solutions? Bring your business cards, your personal experiences in business and anything you'd like to tackle with the group! Doors open at 9:15 a.m. for coffee and networking. Saturday, 2/8 GG’s Stop Planning & Start Doing 2020 Entrepreneur Master Class Series: “Are you ready to start 2020 off with a bang? You’ve planned and planned but have yet to set anything in motion. In this three-course series, we’ll show you how to start your own business from scratch. Each course will begin with a one-hour networking mix and mingle to help build social skills and get comfortable with talking about your product. At the end of this course you’ll know what’s needed legally to call yourself a business, different ways of marketing and how to use social media as your best weapon, how to pitch your idea to investors and a small pitch contest where $500 will be given to one entrepreneur to go toward startup of their business.” More information here.

Tuesday, 2/11 Personal Finance and How it Affects Startups Workshop: “Learn how your personal finances and budgeting routines affect the start of your small business. Let the Women's Business Center help you get your budgeting plan in tack and get your business started on the right track. Take away how to eliminate debt, track expenses, accrue an emergency fund, boost your credit score and save for your business investments.” More information here.

Tuesday, 2/11 Evolve Network Eastgate: “Calling all women entrepreneurs and sales professionals! We are women in business who get together monthly to make deeper connections and get to "like, know, trust" faster! We want to learn from each other's experiences in a no clique, no judgment, no gossip environment. If you're looking for a group of women who are authentic and beautifully imperfect, you've found the right place. Where we come to mentor and be mentored, be vulnerable without the fluff of other groups and help one another without the unnecessary feeling of perfection. Wednesday, 2/19 Cintrifuse Startup Series: Startup Culture Workshop: Spend this morning workshop learning the key to recruit, engage, and retain your employees: culture. Through group instruction, dialogue, and physical activity (yes, physical activity) Sarah [Singer-Nourie] will challenge your assumptions about what’s possible in your startup and inspire you to ways of working you only dreamed of while equipping you with the tools to make it happen. Wednesday, 2/19 WE Speak: Barb Smith & Erin Arnold: “WE Speak offers the unique opportunity to go beyond the bios of our region's most successful women leaders. Hear personal experiences, advice and lessons learned from leaders as well as the chance to network with other business women in Cincinnati. Thursday, 2/20 Coffee & Chat Series, Black History Month Edition: “Join us to meet the black business owners in our network. Hear testimonials from our members. Bring business cards! The Women's Business Center's mission is to level the playing field for services and business opportunities for women small business owners. Thursday, 2/20 Influence Cincinnati: “Engage in candid conversations with diverse thought leaders, envision your future city and use your influence to impact our community. Influence Cincinnati identifies ways that participants can harness the influence they already have – in their jobs, communities and spheres of influence – to create a future region we all want to call home.
