One of the Kroger Co.’s highest-ranking C-suite executives will serve as the keynote speaker for Cintrifuse’s annual meeting in October.

Yael Cosset, Kroger’s senior vice president and chief information officer, is scheduled to deliver the main address at the meeting, scheduled for 10 a.m. Tuesday, Oct. 24, at Union Hall in Over-the-Rhine.

The event serves as an anchor to StartupCincy Week, an annual celebration for area founders, investors and entrepreneurs. StartupCincy Week will run from Oct. 23-26 and includes daily main stage speakers and panels, workshops and roundtables offering education, insights and strategies for creating, growing, funding or scaling a startup.

Cosset leads tech, AI, data and customer experience efforts for downtown-headquartered Kroger, the nation’s largest operator of traditional supermarkets.

“Cosset will join our region's leaders and tech founders for a morning of energizing discussion on our region’s opportunity to make Greater Cincinnati the No. 1 startup hub in the Midwest and a national leader in innovation,” Pete Blackshaw, CEO of Cintrifuse, said in an email.

Cosset was named to his current role in 2020. He has also served as Kroger’s global vice president and chief digital officer and as chief information officer/chief commercial officer for Kroger subsidiary 84.51. Prior, he held senior management positions at Dunnhumby Ltd. and MicroStrategy Inc.

StartupCincy Week is now in its seventh year. Tickets for this year's event are $50, while student admission is free.

Cintrifuse, a startup catalyst organization, offers a wide variety of services, networking and owns and operates Union Hall. It also has more than $180 million in assets under management through its two previous “fund of funds,” which it used to invest in venture capital firms and companies.
