Main Street Ventures aims to cultivate the region's youngest entrepreneurs with the renewal of its Inventure Entrepreneurship Academy.
The four-day program, which began in 2022, targets high school students in Hamilton County and gives them access to Cincinnati's diverse entrepreneurial resources. Participants will learn directly from startup leaders and business experts.
At the program's conclusion, students are able to pitch their ideas for the chance to win prize money, according to a news release.
The academy is capped at 50 participants and free for all those who apply. This year's academy will run from June 26 to June 29.
Inventure Entrepreneurship Academy is just one of several ways Main Street Ventures supports the region's entrepreneurs.
The Over-the-Rhine-based nonprofit is known for its Launch and Leap grants, which provide equity-free funding to recipients. Since 2018, the organization has distributed more than $3 million to more than 100 local startups through those grants. And in April, Main Street Ventures awarded its largest cohort at 19 companies.
