IT company Tential Solutions is expanding to Charlotte with an office in South End.

The information technology company's office in The RailYard at 1422 S. Tryon St. is set to open on May 1. Annapolis, Maryland-based Tential Solutions is a leading provider of IT professional services and talent solutions. The firm has a focus on modernizing companies within the financial-services, accounting and health-care sectors.

Anne Sterner, chief growth officer at Tential, told CBJ that the company is expanding here as the local market has reflected fast growth and increased access to diverse talent.

"The vibrant business landscape of Charlotte is a testament to our decision to meet the needs of our clients, and our belief in the city’s potential as a key market for our growth, especially in the finance, technology and health-care sectors," she said.

Sterner said the Charlotte office will serve as a key hub for its professional services delivery and sales teams. The space also will be a "catalyst for innovation, driving the development of new products, services or solutions," she said.

Tential's mission in Charlotte is to meet the growing demand of technology expertise locally, Sterner said.

"The Charlotte office will create new employment opportunities and support local talent development," she said. "We are committed to fostering a diverse and inclusive workplace culture that values collaboration, candor, creativity and excellence."

Tential was founded in 2003, co-founded by Quinn Salamandra and CEO Shane Ireland. The firm currently has 10 employees based in Charlotte, with plans to grow its local workforce. Tential employs more than 800 workers companywide.

In addition to Charlotte, Tential has two offices in Annapolis and one location in Tampa, Florida.

"We are thrilled to join the Charlotte business community and look forward to contributing to the city's economic growth and development," Sterner said.
