Oxit, an Internet of Things consulting service, has snagged the title of Inno Madness champion.
Readers cast just over 4,700 votes in the final round — by far the one with the most participation. More than 12,100 total votes were cast over four weeks in this year's bracket challenge. The final round marked another close call. ETHIX360, the other finalist, put up a solid fight, but Oxit squeaked by with 50.7% of the vote. That equates to 2,385 votes for Oxit, compared to ETHIX360's 2,317 votes.
Launched in 2014, Oxit creates solutions and products for the global business marketplace. It partners with clients across all aspects of smart technology, including design, prototypes, development and launch. Josh Cox leads that operation. ETHIX360 is a software company seeking to make compliance more straightforward through employee ethics communication, integrated case management and policy solutions. It was founded in 2017 by J. Rollins and Bob Latchford.
"It has been Oxit's great pleasure to participate in Inno Madness and to compete against many other thriving local companies that make (the) Charlotte metro such a great and innovative place to live and work. This competition brought our global team closer together in the spirit of fierce pride and love for what we are building at Oxit day in and day out," Oxit said in a statement to Charlotte Inno.
Thank you to all 16 companies that participated in this year's Inno Madness challenge. Charlotte Inno launched this competition three years ago as a way to highlight — and celebrate — the incredible ingenuity our local ecosystem has to offer. We think it did just that.
