Constant Contact Ends Its 'InnoLoft' Startup Accelerator

Constant Contact has shuttered its accelerator SMB InnoLoft, which it founded in 2014, according to the Boston Globe. But even though the email marketing software company and its holding company, Endurance International Group Holdings Inc., have chosen to kick the program, this isn’t the end of the InnoLoft.

Andy Miller, the chief innovation architect for Constant Contact who has been overseeing the accelerator, will be taking the InnoLoft and running it as an entity completely separate from the company. Accompanying Miller on this initiative will be Laura Northridge, who has been the accelerator’s director. Miller will serve as CEO, while Northridge will take on the role of COO for the InnoLoft.

With this split, the InnoLoft will be moving out of Constant Contact’s office in Waltham July 1, although to where exactly has yet to be determined. Additionally, both Miller and Northridge are planning on leaving their current roles at the business so they can fully transition into their new positions at the independent InnoLoft.

Right now, the accelerator is directing most of its attention to its current cohort of startups, whose time in the program will end in July. Ventures entering the accelerator program in the future can expect similar opportunities and resources to those offered up until this point. Without the support of Constant Contact, the InnoLoft will be looking for new sponsors to fill in any financial gaps left by the divergence.
