Uber to Honor Red Sox Legend Pedro Martinez

Celebrated Boston Red Sox pitcher Pedro Martineze was inducted into the Baseball Hall of Fame over the weekend. To honor the hurler, who loves Boston and Red Sox Nation as much as they love him, Uber will be displaying their cars with Martinez's no. 45 on them starting at 1 p.m. Uber's platform is overlayed on a Google Maps interface and car icons show users the location of prospective rides. – Nick DeLuca

The Boston 2024 Bid Is Dead

Boston 2024, which was endorsed in January by the USOC as its official pick for the Unites States' bid for the 2024 Summer Games, encountered intense opposition immediately. Polling numbers peaked in the first survey collected in January at 51 percent, but fell steadily after that, reaching a nadir of only 36 percent in March.
