Uber Ice Cream is Back in Boston

On Friday, July 24, the super scoopers over at Uber will be delivering J.P. Licks ice cream for its fourth year of #UberIceCream. Between 11 a.m. and 5 p.m. users will be able to summon an ice cream truck for its "$25 for 5 pieces" deal. But if you use your Capital One credit card as your preferred payment method, and enter the promo code SWEETDEAL, your frosty order will come free. – Nick DeLuca

Amazon Home Services Expands to Boston

Amazon announced today that it's expanding its Home Service to 15 metro regions across the country, including Boston. For those who don't know about Amazon Home Services, it's essentially a marketplace for people to hire others for services around the house – whether it be plumbing, cleaning or other handwork. Requests, too, can be submitted using just photos and texts. Check it out, this could be your next one-stop-shop for the impending moving season. Nick DeLuca

The U.S. Open Will Return to Brookline in 2022

After a few decades of rotating around, the U.S. Open is officially coming back to a golf course near you, Boston. Of course, you'll have to wait until 2022, but the famed tournament is returning to The Country Club in Brookline. You might remember the course, either from memory (if you're one of the lucky few who has played there), or from the slightly forgettable Disney movie, The Greatest Game Ever Played (which was set at the club's course, circa 1913). This will be the first time that the Open has returned since 1988. Personally, I'm already putting my bet on Jordan Spieth, because I'm a boring gambler. This often translates into cost overruns. >>> Read more on BostInno – Hayden Bird
